Naturepedic began over 20 years ago with a simple, personal problem: a grandfather wanted a crib mattress he could trust for his own first grandchild, and couldn't find one that met his standards. So his company set out to build it — free of the synthetic materials found in most conventional mattresses, and rigorously tested to prove it.
That single mattress became a company standard. Today, every Naturepedic crib and kids mattress is handcrafted in our own GOTS certified organic factory in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, using Texas-grown organic cotton. It's a slower, more deliberate way to make a mattress — and two decades later, it's still the reason families choose us for their most important sleeper.
We've stayed independent and family-run on purpose, because it means every material decision still gets made the way that first one did: by asking what's actually safe for a child, not what's cheapest to produce.
